Available Technologies:

Accelerated Hydrogen Peroxide

Products based on accelerated hydrogen peroxide destroy microorganisms through oxidation. They are recognized for their broad-spectrum activity against bacteria, viruses, yeasts and moulds. Because they can modify surfaces chemically, however, there is a risk of incompatibility with certain surfaces. These products are mainly used for a high level of disinfection, including C. difficile.

Alcohols and Quaternary-based Disinfectant

Alcohols demonstrate broad-spectrum effectiveness against vegetative bacteria, viruses and fungi, but because they are not sporicidal, they have no effect on C. difficile. Combining alcohol with a quaternary-based disinfectant improves the spectrum of the finished product's efficiency against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, enveloped viruses and certain yeast and moulds. This mix is non-corrosive and is compatible with most surfaces and gloves. This type of technology is also suitable for everyday use, and offers an intermediate to high level of disinfection.

Quaternary-Based Disinfectant

Quaternary-based disinfectants are positively charged compounds that poison microbes, which have a negatively charged cell membrane. This kills the bacteria and viruses lose their infectious properties. Quaternary-based disinfectants are low-level disinfectants, are non-corrosive to surfaces, and take effect within 10 minutes on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, enveloped viruses and certain yeast moulds. This technology is recommended for a low to intermediate level of disinfection. The low cost of this product also allows for cost savings.

Chlorines

Chlorines destroy microorganisms through oxidation. Chlorine-based oxidation is more powerful than hydrogen peroxide-based oxidation, but because chlorines can modify surfaces chemically, there is a risk of incompatibility with certain surfaces. There is also the risk of chemical reaction when chlorines come into contact with acid-based products such as toilet bowl cleaners. Chlorine-based products are necessary in high-stakes disinfection such as outbreaks or resistant bacteria.

Microfibre Wipes

Microfibre wipes result in better disinfection because they have a very large contact surface area per fibre. Using microfibre wipes significantly reduce microbes on direct contact surfaces. Because high quality microfibres can be washed up to 500 times without a significant decrease to their effectiveness, investing in quality microfibres can help reduce long-term costs. It's a green decision that's good for your budget and for your disinfection and cleaning efficiency.

Disposable Wipes

Convenient and easy-to-use size, disposable wipes are an indispensable tool for your daily activities. They prevent cross-contamination and optimize operational time. However, they have a high per-use cost, so procedures should clearly define when and how they are to be used.

Carts 

A cart is a basic tool that allows you to optimize cleaning operations. It should be large enough to hold all the tools and materials needed during a work shift. Ergonomics, ease of cleaning, ease of use and user safety are concerns that should be addressed when choosing a cart. Because a cart is a long-term investment, it's important to take durability, safety, cost and usefulness into consideration.

Test Strips

Having the right test strip for the right application is the key to preventing improper dosage. The recommendation must be based on the nature of the active molecule in the disinfectant as well as on the desired concentration. The wrong tool can lead to underdosage, rendering the product ineffective, or to overdosage, leading to waste and possible surface damage.

Dry Vapor Cleaners

Dry vapor cleaners are very effective for eradicating bed bugs in conjunction with an insecticide applied by a Pest Management Professionnal.

Because vapor can penetrate into even the tiniest spaces, dry vapor cleaners are very useful for cleaning hard-to-reach areas such as the rails of elevators and sliding doors. Dry vapor cleaners can also be used to clean equipment containing many small parts such as wheelchairs.

Because these cleaners use dry vapor containing approximately 6% water, moisture will not accumulate.
