History

In 1952, RenĂ© Laroche opened his cleaning services business. Seventeen years later, in 1969, Jean-Claude Goudreault joined forces with Laroche to found Sani-Marc. The “guardian of your health” logo was adopted to promote the new company’s image and mission.

Ever since, the company has continued to grow, propelled by its commitment to offering customers the best products and services available anywhere on the market.

1973: Creation of Sanisol France
1979: Acquisition of St-Charles Chemical – Pool and Spa Division
1982: Food & Beverage Division created
1991: René Laroche, President & Co-founder retires and Jean-Claude Goudreault takes over
1993: Acquisition of Ecochimie, a manufacturer specializing in Dairy and C.I.P. applications for the Food & Beverage industry
1997: Jean-Claude Goudreault retires and his son Pierre Goudreault takes over
1998: Acquisition of Ontario-based Roots Industries, specializing in pool products
2005: Sani Marc acquires Wood Wyant and forms the Sani Marc Group, making it Canada’s leading distributor of sanitation solutions
2013: Acquisition of Winnipeg-based Five-L, specializing in the distribution of hygiene and sanitation products and equipment
2013: Acquisition of Edmonton-based Total Cleaning Supplies Ltd., a distributor of hygiene and sanitation products
2015: Acquisition of Chatterson Janitorial Supplies based in Regina, Saskatchewan.
