In light of the COVID-19 pandemic which is currently spreading worldwide and turning everyone’s lives upside down, Sani Marc Group Inc. (“Sani Marc”) has unfortunately been forced to reduce staff in its Alpine division, serving the food services industry, in order to minimize impacts on the company as a whole.

While Sani Marc’s activities fall under essential services and there has been no stoppage in production, the company’s current priority is to serve the health network and food processing plants first to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic, while also ensuring the health and safety of employees, customers and the general public.

“The majority of our Alpine clients work in the food services sector and have been slowing down activities significantly in the past few weeks,” said Pierre Goudreault, President of Sani Marc. “As a result, we have had no choice but to follow suit and temporarily lay off some of our employees in this division.”

In a statement to all employees, Mr. Goudreault added: “We all want to put this ordeal behind us as quickly as possible. Even though some members of our large family are taking a mandatory break as of today, please understand that this is a preventive and temporary measure only.”

All Alpine products and services will continue to be available. Sani Marc is monitoring the situation closely and is ready to adapt quickly to any new developments.
