List of impacted items
On May 31, 2018, the United States announced that it would be imposing 25% tariffs on certain steel products and 10% tariffs on certain aluminum products manufactured in Canada. The Canadian government responded with countermeasures against a list of goods originating from the US at rate of 10% or 25%, depending on the item in question.
Consequently, effective July 1, 2018 and until the end of the current dispute and removal of the Canadian government-imposed surtaxes, we must regrettably institute a surcharge on certain items. Our website provides a list of impacted items, along with a link to the Government of Canada webpage (https://www.fin.gc.ca/activty/consult/cacsap-cmpcaa-eng.asp) outlining the details of the situation. Please note that this situation may evolve over time and that we are closely following all communications from our suppliers.
Wood Wyant has an extensive supply network. However, some of the items we distribute originate from the US and have been targeted by these countermeasures. If you need further information, please contact your sales representative or our Customer Service department for alternative products not impacted by the tariffs.
